Welcome the Year of the Snake with mesmerising dragon dances, enchanting folktales, vibrant crafts and lively community-led events.

Celebrate the new year at our free family festival, just a stone's throw away from London's original Chinatown in Limehouse.

Listen to classic Chinese folktales, take part in workshops, get stuck into celebratory crafts and enjoy a Dragon dance. What better way to start the new year?

General admission to the festival is free and we strongly recommend you book tickets in advance.

Ticketing

Tickets to the Lunar New Year festival have now sold out. Some walk-up tickets will be available on the day, but availability is limited.

Be sure to check out our upcoming activities for families and what we’ve got planned for the remainder of February!

Some individual ticketed events will be available to book in advance. Ticketed events include festival entry, so there's no need to book general admission tickets if you've booked an event.

Drop-in events will be first come, first served. In some instances, we may need to direct you to other events if they become too busy.

Filming and photography will be taking place. If you don't wish to be filmed or photographed, please speak to a member of staff.

With thanks to Cayley Primary School students, community partners from Vietnamese Family Partnership, Tainan University of Technology, Step Out Arts (Co-producer), Locy Lee Learning and New Earth Theatre.
