Online booking for our events is recommended

London Museum Docklands is closed on 24, 25 & 26 December. Other than that, we're open as normal between 10am – 5pm.

We're a free museum all about London's river, port and people from the 1600s through to today. All housed in an old West India Docks warehouse that once stored sugar, rum and tea.

The museum is made up of nine free galleries that explore a different moment or theme of the docks' history. Discover the lesser-known history of slavery in London, the war effort in Docklands and how Canary Wharf came to be.

There's always lots of events going on – workshops, courses, walks, talks, tours – so check out our what's on to find something for you.
