Lolly stick theatre

PDF: 10.9 MB

Print out the pages (people, buildings, flames & smoke).

How to make your lolly stick theatre

1. Find a cereal box, or any other cardboard box, to use as
your theatre and cut a hole in the front leaving at least an
inch (2-3cms) around the edge as a frame.

2. You can cut 3cm x 10cm slits in the shorter sides to be able
to feed through your characters, flames and smoke.

3. You can decorate the box if you wish.

4. If you don’t have any lolly sticks, you can use the lolly stick
template on page 3 to cut 20 lolly stick shapes out of the
piece that you just cut out of your box.

Now for your Great Fire performance!

To make your puppet characters and scenes, cut out the
people, buildings, flames and smoke (follow the dotted
guides on the A4 sheets). Then, stick each cut-out on
to a lolly stick using glue or tape.

Make up your performance based on your own research.
