London Museum is a social history museum that tells the story of the capital from its first settlers to modern times, with sites in the City, Docklands and Hackney.

We have a wide range of different spaces available for filming location hire, like the world's largest archaeological archive and an original 19-century warehouse on the docks.

We have curators with expertise in over 2,000 years of London history, as well as seven million objects in our collection – ready to help bring your stories to life.

Our spaces

The following spaces are available for hire:

  • London Museum Stores (Hackney)

    London Museum Docklands is an old 19th-century warehouse – full of history, charm and original features – right on the quayside.

    London Museum Spaces is our former museum building designed by Powell and Moya, boasting a fantastic location in the heart of the City.

Requirements

Once you've been approved for filming, you'll need to make sure you send the following in advance of the shoot:

  • risk assessment method statement (RAMS)
  • public liability insurance certificate
