Queen Adelaide
Queen Adelaide (1792-1849) - widow of William IV. The titles have been cut from the bottom of the sheet. A copy at the British Museum is inscribed:
'For Her Most Gracious Majesty Queen Victoria / This Portrait of / Her Most Gracious Majesty Queen Adelaide, / Is by Royal Command Specially Dedicated by / Her Majesty's most dutiful Subject and Servant Thos McLean.' with the Royal coat of arms. Also: 'Painted by W.C. Ross, R.A. / Engraved by H.T. Ryall / Engraver to the Queen.', and 'London, published March 30, 1841, by Thomas McLean, 26, Haymarket / Printed by R. Lloyd.'
