A Drawing Room at St. James's Palace
Guests in court dress are shown passing through an ante-room decorated with arms from the Tower Armouries. In the background a crowd of onlookers stands behind members of the Yeomen of the Guard. At this period court levees and drawing rooms were normally held at St James's Palace, whilst the Prince of Wales held court at Carlton House.
