"In the dim and speculative future"
Satirical pro-female suffrage postcard designed by Gladys Letcher for the Suffrage Atelier. Entitled 'In the dim and speculative future' the postcard depicts Prime Minister Asquith standing in a field of daisies beside a sun dial in an early 19th century costume. In his right hand he holds a daisy, the 7 petals of which are printed with a word either 'votes' 'for' or 'women.' He is represented pulling out the petals one by one to the rhyme printed below 'This Year, Next Year Sometime !!!'
