Ruins of the Savoy
Sketch of the Ruins of the Savoy Hospital, built in mid C13 by Peter Earl of Savoy and Richmond, endowed as a hospital by Henry VIII. Between 1816-20 the site was cleared to make way for the approach road to Waterloo Bridge. Schnebbelie was active 1803-21, d. 1849 of starvation. Page 126 inscribed on reverse.
