Paintings, Prints & Drawings — 1930-1940
King's Cross road
This drawing of a street scene in King's Cross includes tram lines and cables criss-crossing overhead. The signs for a number of businesses - including a hairdressers and cafe on the left - can be seen along the deserted walkways.
A number of drawings by Amy Joseph were acquired by the Museum during the 1970s. They all date between 1930 and 1940 and depict areas of the London, as they appeared before the Blitz devastated the city in the early 1940s.
