Banner
Suffragette Banner of the Lewisham branch of the Women's Social & Political Union. The figure of Justice is represented to emphasise the justice of the Votes for Women cause. Prison arrows adorn the corners of the banner. The motto 'Dare Never Count the Throe' can be read as a warning for people not to underestimate the suffragettes' struggle.
