Flower, ballet prop flower
Cloth flowers from Giselle, Act II.
These artificial lilies were used in Act II of Anna Pavlova’s production of Giselle. The fake flowers are made of white cotton on wired stems, with green cotton leaves glazed to give a glossy appearance. These flowers may date from Pavlova revival of the ballet in 1925 at the Royal Opera House.
