Tallis's London street views : No. 27. Broad Street, Bloomsbury
Issue number 27 of Tallis's 'London street views' showing nos. 1-37 Broad Street, and nos. 22-67 High Street, Bloomsbury. The image of St. Giles's church is shown in truncated form, missing the spire. The current church was consecrated on Christmas day 1733 and the architect was Henry Flitcroft who later designed Woburn Abbey. This issue also shows a view of No. 37 Broad Street being the premises of Chamberlain, an optician.
