Tilbury Docks: The Royal Mail Line's 'Highland Chieftain' off of Gravesend on 12th May, 1934
The 'Highland Chieftain' served as a troopship during WWII, but ended her active life as a storeship for the whaling trade on the Falkland Islands. In the 1960s she was wrecked in the River Plate and was finally cut up in the 1960s.
