Discharging overside to a lighter in the Pool of London
The ship just seen on the right hand side appears to be discharging its cargo to the lighter in this photograph taken in the late in the afternoon. Note the two floating cranes discharging the steamer a little further up stream. Photographed for E. Arnot Robertson's book 'Thames Portrait' (1937).
