Rosette
Suffragette rosette and badge with ribbons in the white purple and green colour scheme of the Women's Social and Political Union. In the centre of the rosette is a tin badge bearing the slogan: 'Votes for Women'. Suffragettes were encouraged to wear rosettes and badges at all times. The Votes for Women newspaper declared 'Wear the colours as a duty and a privilege. Never be seen without your badge'.
