Dress
A child's dress made to be worn by the donor, Helen Clark, in celebration of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. The pattern of the dress's cotton fabric is composed of cartoon images of events of the coronation, including the queen on a throne, Buckingham Palace, coach processions, royal guards, and crowds of cheering spectators. The dress has small puffed sleeves, a Peter Pan collar on a round neck, gathered skirt, and pocket on the left side.
