The Heath - 31
The thirty-first in the series of Andy Sewell's five year project documenting 'The Heath' in Hampstead. A view of the skyline from Parliament Hill with two crows are perched on the back of a wooden bench.
The evocative photographs made for 'The Heath' reflect acute and subtle observations of the space frequented by Londoners as an alternative to the urban surroundings.
In the introduction to his self-published photographic book of the work, Sewell writes 'I go to the Heath to be somewhere that feels natural, yet I know this is no pathless wood. The Heath is as managed as any other part of London but managed to feel wild.'
