Blouse
This Biba blouse, with its distinctive sleeves and paisley design, epitomises the style of the early 1970s. Paisley had become particularly popular during the late 1960s, alongside an interest in Indian spirituality and culture brought about by the pilgrimage of The Beatles to India in 1968. The dark, muted colours used within the print are typical of Barbara Hulanicki's designs.
