Social History — 2011-2012
Sign
This sign features a satirical image of British Prime Minister David Cameron. He is wearing a neck tie featuring a one per cent symbol, a reference to the global Occupy protest movement's slogan 'We are the 99 per cent'. The design of David Cameron was spray painted onto the board by Occupy London activists using a stencil created by the graffiti artist T.WAT, also in the collection of the Museum of London. The sign was displayed in the 'Tech Tent', the communications hub of the Occupy LSX camp at St Paul's Cathedral between 2011 and 2012.
