Queues outside the Roundhouse
Long queues outside The Roundhouse in Camden to see Elvis Costello in concert. The Roundhouse was originally built as a steam engine repair shed in 1846 and soon after became a warehouse for Gilby's Gin. In 1964 Arnold Wesker established Centre 42 and it became an arts venue quickly becoming a popular music venue. January 1978 was the first time that Elvis Costello had played at the Roundhouse and as it was a free concert it proved extremely popular with the public.
