Part of a decorated samian bowl, form Dragendorff 29 made in one of the potteries in South Gaul. The lower zone is decorated with early designs, including wreath decoration and saltires. Samian ware is high-quality Roman tableware made in Gaul (modern-day France) and exported throughout the empire.
