Fragment of a decorated samian bowl, form Dragendorff 37, with ovolo decoration, made in one of the potteries in South Gaul. Decoration includes scroll design with animal figures and composite design in lower lobes. Samian ware is high-quality Roman tableware made in Gaul (modern-day France) and exported throughout the empire.
