Printed Ephemera — 2011-10
Zombie Bankers Run
The Occupy London movement grew out of an attempt to occupy the London Stock Exchange in Paternoster Square on 15 October 2011. The protest was organised in solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street protest in New York. After City of London police cordoned off Paternoster Square, the protesters set up camp in tents outside St Paul's Cathedral.
The Occupy movement also set up a satellite camp at Finsbury Square on 22 October 2011. The original camp remained outside St Paul's until it was evicted by the Corporation of London on 28 February 2012. Occupy London Finsbury Square remained until the camp was evicted on 14 June that year.
This flyer was produced for a satirical 'Zombie Bankers' Run' organised on Halloween 2011. Participants dressed up as zombies and ran a mock race around Finsbury Square as a protest against City of London financial institutions.
