Audience at filming of 'Ready Steady Go' television programme
As the studios were small it was impossible to hide cameras and so they were instead made into a feature and cameras were placed in the middle of the dance floor. There were two resident dancers on the show Theresa Confrey and Patrick Kerr who demonstrated new dances for the audience to copy. The show finished in 1966 at the height of its popularity and has thus been given cult status.
