Farrer House, Eton
Oppidan accommodation for pupils at Eton College in the early 1960s. Eton has a system of Houses of which each boy becomes a member for the duration of his school life. One house is reserved for Kings Scholars and the remaining students are referred to as Oppidans. These students pay their own fees and who live in houses outside the College’s original buildings. There are 24 Oppidan houses at Eton.
