Pupil at the School for deaf children, Old Kent Road
This child, who is wearing a hearing aid, is a pupil at the Old Kent Road School for the Deaf. The school was first established in 1792 in Bermondsey but due to demand for places a purpose build school opened on the Old Kent Road in 1809. The School is now located in Margate.
