Fan with leaf of cream silk gauze painted with picture of dog standing on steps outside his cavelike 'home' with the words, 'there's no place like Home!'. Smoked mother-of-pearl guards and smoked mother-of-pearl and pierced ivory sticks. Sticks are ivory along leaf, mother of pearl below, glued together at leaf bottom edge. Picture signed: "Helen 1887".
