Brassiere, bust bodice
Bust improver of white cotton edged with cotton braid and lace at the upper edge. Includes eight pieces of removable boning in channels. Three internal, vertical straps with buckles for adjustment. Piece of elastic attached at the bottom centre front. Adjustable straps. Fastens centre back.
This piece of underwear was designed to help create the fashionable 'S' bend, which accentuated the bust and minimised the waist.
