Julian Cheyne, resident of Clays Lane Co-operative Housing Estate
Colour pigment photographic print of Julian Cheyne outside his home on the Clays Lane Co-operative Housing Estate in Stratford, 2007. The Clays Lane Estate was established in 1977 to provide housing for vulnerable single people living in east London. Despite local opposition residents were relocated and the estate demolished when the area was cleared to make way for the Olympic Park. Properties were the subject of compulsory purchase orders by the London Development Agency. This photograph was taken as part of a project to document the site of the London 2012 Olympic Games prior to its closure for redevelopment in July 2007.
