Lance Forman of Forman & Sons salmon smokers
Colour pigment photographic print of Lance Forman of Forman and Sons salmon smokers, Marshgate Lane, Stratford, 2007. Forman and Sons were established by Harry Forman in 1905 when he arrived in the East End from Russia and set up a fish curing business. Lance Forman was the great grandson of the founder. Forman's was one of several firms that lay within the designated area of the Olympic Park and was relocated as a result. This photograph was taken as part of a project to document the site of the London 2012 Olympic Games prior to its closure for redevelopment in July 2007.
