West African Students Union dinner
Photograph showing members of the West African Students Union and their guests at a dinner in honour of His Excellency Sir Bernard H Bourdillon (the Governor of Nigeria) and his wife. The dinner took place in London on 28 January 1937. The West African Student Union was founded in 1925 by young Africans studying in Britain. Members actively campaigned for African independence.
