The handwritten description on this wax phonograph cylinder's box reads "Piano Solo played at Lyndale on 27/5/02 by Ellis at a Family Gathering 3 days before Pa, Ma, Louise & Ellis sailed for New York / at Lyndale, Parkhurst Rd., New Southgate."
Ellis Walll was the sister of Cromwell Wall (1866-1937) who made this recording. She was 17 or 8 at the time. Cromwell (with a beard) is standing on the left of the back row in the attached photograph which was taken of the extended Wall family at his parents' home 'The Oaks' in Galley Lane Ridge, Barnet.
