Senate House
This is a photograph is the university of London’s Senate House. The building was designed by architect Charles Holden and took 4 years to build opening in 1937. Today it is acknowledged to be a building of architectural significance and is Grade II* listed. The central tower is 210 ft high and has 19 floors. The university’s library is open to students of all the colleges in the university and occupies the forth to the eighteenth floors. It now contains approximately 2 million books plus journals, manuscripts and archives.
