It's a long way to Tipperary
Cotton twill handkerchief block printed in ochre dye with discharge areas; chromolithographic print in four colours, 1914-18. One of the most popular war-time songs of the period, 'It's a long way to Tipperary' was written in 1912. Soldiers could also obtain handkerchiefs printed with games such as draughts, or with texts concerning military equipment, manoeuvres or first aid.
Large central reserve and four smaller medallions with words, music and illustrations to "It's a long way to Tipperary". In central reserve Note: "Copyright". In bottom border: "Copyright for all countries by B. Feldman and Co. and by arrangement with Messrs. B. Feldman and Co. Arthur Street, London WC".
