A young man inside the Blitz club, Covent Garden
A young man sits on steps inside the Blitz club, 1981 on what is thought to be the last night of the famous club night. The Blitz is widely regarded as the birth place of the New Romantics, as coined in the media in the early 1980s and those who frequented it were known as 'Blitz Kids'. This included the founders Steve Strange and Boy George and Spandau Ballet amongst them. The club walls were adorned with wartime posters and memorabilia as shown here.
