This elevated view, looking south over a surprisingly quiet Waterloo Bridge, is one of 16 photographs Davies made of the arterial roads of London. The series records London’s major trunk roads and intersections shortly before the introduction of the Congestion Charge in February 2003. It was commissioned by the Museum of London and forms part of Davies’ nationwide series 'Metropoli'.
