Two air stewardesses in the main hall of the Queen's Building at Heathrow Airport, c. 1953. The Queens Building, designed by Frederick Gibbard, was opened by Her Majesty in 1953. It was one of Heathrow's oldest and best-loved buildings with a public viewing platform on the roof. It was demolished in September 2009 to make way for the renovation of Terminal 2.
