Printed Ephemera — 1978-11
Time Out
Copy of Time Out magazine for 17-23 November 1978. The cover is headlined 'Harlem? No, Harlesden'. This refers to an article in the magazine by Mike Phillips on Caribbean churches in London. Many Afro-Caribbeans in Britain continued to follow non-conformist Protestant denominations often with an Evangelical influence. Associated with this, gospel music became an important part of religious and social life for Afro-Caribbean communities.
