Colour pigment inkjet photographic print showing worshippers praying at the London Central Mosque in Regent's Park in 1993. Its large gold dome topped with a crescent moon and minaret are visible from a distance. The Mosque, designed by Sir Frederick Gibberd, opened in 1978 to cater for the increasing number of Muslims settling in London. The interior holds 1,800 worshippers and incorporates the Islamic Cultural Centre.
