Printed Ephemera — 1984-10
Programme
This programme was produced for the first Pretty Policeman's Ball, a charity gala held at the Piccadilly Theatre on 21 October 1984. The event was organised as part of the London Gay Switchboard's appeal to raise £100,000. Artists contributing to the event included Tom Robinson, Ned Sherrin, Simon Callow and Bronski Beat. The Gay Liberation Front established the London Gay Switchboard in Soho in March 1974. Now known as the London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard, it continues to operate from north London.
