A sidecar and horse-drawn cart pass gasworks near King's Cross
A motorbike with sidecar overtakes a horse-drawn cart in Goodsway, King's Cross, c. 1935. In the background is the imposing group of mid-19th-century gasholders at St Pancras, which were listed Grade 2 by English Heritage. All but one of the gasholders was dismantled in the early 2000s to make way for the new St Pancras International Eurostar terminal, whilst the one still standing is to be rebuilt as a pavilion and open-air performance space.
