Trousers
Ken Sorrie bought these black cotton bondage trousers at BOY, a shop and label founded in 1976 or 1977 by John Krevine and Stephane Raynor. Both had previously ran Acme Attractions, like the original Boy on the Kings Road, fronted by the DJ and musician Don Letts. Like Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood's shops SEX and Seditionaries, Acme was a popular hang-out for for members of the early punk scene. When Krevine and Raynor saw that there was a market for punk related clothing and merchandise they closed Acme and set up Boy in 1977.
Boy at first sold mainly bondage gear and t-shirts in the shop and also through their 'blackmail' catalogues. During the 1980s the boy logo appeared on pretty much everything it could be stuck on.
