Printed Ephemera — 1909
Imperial International Exhibition
Colour chromolithograph poster promoting the new motor racing track installed at White City as part of the Imperial International Exhibition. The success of White City, a private enterprise, was dependent on sponsorship and visitor income. Visitor numbers were maintained through the installation, each exhibition season, of new innovative and exciting attractions. All new attractions were promoted through eye-catching advertising billboards pasted throughout London.
