Printed Ephemera — 2003
Card, call card
Before the widespread use of mobiles, companies sold pre-paid call cards for use in payphones. This card was marketed at Muslim Londoners. It was issued to coincide with Ramadan in 2003 when many people would want to phone family and friends abroad.
Users would dial an access code and then enter a pin number revealed by scratching off the silver strip on the back of the card. They could then dial their destination number.
