Printed Ephemera — 1975-1979
The National Front is a Nazi Front
Leaflet issued by the Kentish Town Action Group of Camden Against Racism.
The leaflet emphasises the similarities between the National Front's co-ordinated racism towards Black people and the Nazi party's persecution of the Jews, Christians, socialists, trade unionists and Religious leaders in 1930s Germany.
A picture of a National Front march in Britain in the 1970s is compared with a picture of Hitler leading a Nazi rally in Germany in the 1930s stating that 'the scene may have changed - but the aim is the same'.
The rise in nationalist activities and racism towards ethnic minority communities in London during the 1970s and 80s prompted a strong anti-racist response from communities across London as well as the drawing up of the Race Relations Act in 1976.
