Printed Ephemera — 1938
Hearts of Oak Benefit Society
This pamphlet, issued by the Hearts of Oak Benefit Society, lists assurance contributions and benefits for men, women and children. Before the National Insurance scheme was established, the Society was approved by government to administer national insurance benefits. In 1906 King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra opened the society's head office in Euston Road, which is pictured on the front of this pamphlet. An ink stamp on the front cover gives the details of one of the society's London agents.
