Boys playing on a bomb site, off Harrow Road, Paddington
A young boy stands amidst the rubble of a bombsite on Waverley Walk, Paddington. Bombed-out buildings and rubble were a common sight across post-war London. Children made playgrounds of the streets and bombsites, finding all kinds of swappable treasures amongst the ruins.
