Fun Girl
The t-shirt was bought at Selfridges. Antoni & Alison is the fashion and design partnership of Antoni Burakowski and Alison Roberts, formed in 1987 after meeting at St. Martin's School of Art in 1982. Their art-based concepts display fun, intelligent humour and a tongue-in-cheek British sensibility. After opening a shop on Rosebery Avenue in 1997, Antoni & Alison first became known for their slogan t-shirts, like this one. Each season the artists produce work which they incorporate into fashion clothing and accessories, often using digital textile prints of their photography. Antoni & Alison's work is exhibited through a combination of mixed media and staged catwalk shows. The duo have also worked on a number of collaborations with other brands, as well as producing installations and exhibitions. Burakowski and Roberts received MBEs in 2008.
