Latest Paris Fashions
Fashion plate from ‘The Lady's Newspaper, The Queen & Court Chronicle’. It shows one woman in an evening dress in white with red decorative details, and one woman in a brown outdoor outfit. Both the dresses are worn over crinolines. Crinolines made of steel hoops gave skirts a bell shape. They were popular from the mid 1850s to the early 1860s.
