Printed Ephemera — 1870-1899
Bill
This bill advertises a "Cabinet of Cabalistic Changes and Museum of Many Marvels" open on two days at the Royal Dramatic College fete, Crystal Palace. The magical spectacle would be performed by the popular comic actor J.L. Toole as Professor Toole, with Paul Bedford performing the role of "his goblin page, the small Pauloni". Toole and Bedford met when working together at the Adelphi theatre. The programme of events was devised by the writer E.L. Blanchard, who was known for writing the annual Drury Lane pantomime.
